Mumbai, Jul 23 (PTI) TV actor Deepesh Bhan, best known for appearing in comedy shows “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai!” and “FIR”, died on Saturday. He was 41. Actor Kavita Kaushik, Bhan’s co-star from the popular show “FIR”, shared the news of his demise on her Twitter page. “In shock, gutted, pained with the news of Deepesh Bhan passing away at the age of 41 yesterday, a very important cast member in f.i.r,” she wrote. “Was a fit guy who never drank/smoked or did anything to harm his health, left behind a wife and one year old child and parents and us all,” she added. The cause of Bhan’s death is not known yet, but according to media reports, the actor collapsed in the morning while playing cricket. Rohitash Gaud of “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai!” said he was in disbelief when he heard the news. “We got to know at 7:00 am that he collapsed while playing cricket in his society. And he was immediately taken to the hospital where he was declared dead. He was happy and fit man. It is shocking to hear that he passed away suddenly,” Gaud told PTI. The show’s producers Sanjay and Binaiferr Kohli said they were heartbroken. “He is one of the most dedicated actors in ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai!’ and like our family. He will be deeply missed by all. Our heartfelt condolences to his family. May his soul rest in eternal peace. God give his family the strength to cope with this great loss,” they said in a joint statement. Bhan was one of the characters of a popular Hindi TV show, 'Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain'. The news of his demise was announced by the channel of the show, &tv, on Twitter. The tweet said: "Your sudden departure from the stage of life will always haunt us, you will always be alive in our hearts with our memories and the character you played." He reportedly collapsed while playing cricket, and was immediately rushed to the hospital. He was pronounced dead on arrival. Bhan's co-actors and well wishers took to social media, to condole his death. "Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Television star Aasif Sheikh, who plays Vibhuti Narayan Mishra on Hindi sitcom ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!’, recently deduced the cause of death of his co-actor from the show Deepesh Bhan, who collapsed while playing cricket on Saturday and was declared dead on arrival by hospital authorities. Aasif shared that the 41-year old actor passed away because of brain haemorrhage. The actor, who played Malkhan in ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!’, went to the gym at around seven in the morning and stopped to play cricket in his building’s compound at Dahisar. Aasif told Hindustan Times that Deepesh bowled an over, got down to get the ball, got up, swayed for a while and fell down. He never got up. The senior actor mentioned that there was blood coming out of his eyes indicating that it was a clear sign of brain haemorrhage, which according to Aasif, doctors too agreed with. Aasif deduced that Deepesh may not have eaten anything in the morning and then while playing cricket, he ran and the blood pressure rose. “He immediately fell down. He suggested that one should slow down a little bit and not exert oneself too much after the age of 40”, Aasif told Hindustan Times.
