Identified as Anjali Kumar, the woman was hit by a grey Baleno car that had five men inside, who have been arrested. A CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced. They told police they had bought alcohol and consumed it while driving to Murthal and back, and that they were unaware of someone being stuck under their vehicle. However, Anjali's friend ‘Nidhi’ refuted their claims saying the victim had shouted for help after her foot got trapped under the car but the men “continued to drive”. The two accused are alleged to have tampered with evidence, given false information to the police and were part of the conspiracy to hide their tracks after the incident, said the cops. The Baleno owner has been identified as Ashutosh. The police said he has been captured on CCTV having a conversation on phone with the accused men in the car.
