Pets for Adoption at Animal House Shelter, in Huntley, IL

Our Mission Founded in 2002, Animal House Shelter is a non-profit, 501(c)3, no kill shelter that rescues, rehabilitates and adopts out all breeds of dogs and cats. We fully vet every animal that we rescue before they are adopted, including spay/neuter, all vaccines and boosters, heartgard, frontline, dewormings and microchip. We take in dogs and cats that have been abused, neglected, abandoned. There are a variety of other reasons people relinquish their dog or cat to us as well: lack of time, moving, allergies, new baby etc. We save those scheduled for euthanasia at other shelters due to their lack of space. Once rehabilitated and ready, they are carefully matched with prospective adopters and placed in loving homes. Over 34,000 pets have been adopted from Animal House Shelter. Adoption Policy All adoption donations MUST be in cash, money order, traveler’s check , cashier’s check or by VISA, DISCOVER or MASTERCARD credit card only. NO PERSONAL CHECKS PLEASE. You must be at least 21 years old to adopt. All members of the household must be present, including any other dogs you may currently own, in order to do a final adoption (cats do not have to come to the shelter.
