Kids 4 Human Rights International Drawing Contest

What do human rights mean to you? And why should they be respected and defended? The United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights has teamed up with Spanish artist Cristobal Gabarron and the Gabarron Foundation to launch an international drawing contest urging young people to reflect on the importance of human rights. If you are between 10 and 14 years old, express yourself by taking part in this global art competition to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, one of the most important documents of the 20th century. Young artists have until 31 October 2023 to submit their artwork. The winners will be announced on 10 December, celebrated worldwide as Human Rights Day. The Universal Declaration and its 30 Articles, adopted by the United Nations on 10 December 1948, promote basic human rights so every women, man and child on this planet can live and develop in dignity and peace – from the right to life, freedom and security to the right to education and freedom of expression and association, as well as the right to work, equal pay and freedom from all forms of discrimination. Winners’ creations will be exhibited in various locations before becoming part of the art collection of one of the first museums in the world dedicated to children’s art, set up by the Gabarron Foundation. Headquartered in Valladolid, Spain, the Queen Sofia Children’s Art Museum houses a collection of some 60,000 artwork produced by children all ov...

Art Contest

At U.S. Kids Magazines,we believe in encouraging children’s creativity and supporting our schools’ art programs. Art offers children a unique means of expression, capturing their passions and emotions and fostering the exploration of new ideas, subject matter, and cultures. Each year, we invite readers and students from around the country to share their creative talents by entering our annual cover contest. The winning entry is featured on the front cover of Jack and Jillor Humpty Dumptymagazine, with second-, third-place, and Readers’ Choice winners’ art showcased inside the same issue. In addition, U.S. Kids also recognizes winners’ art departments and teachers with cash awards to help support their programs. Through this contest, U.S. Kids hopes to encourage young minds and those who teach them to continue creating wonderful art. “You can’t use up creativity,” writer Maya Angelou said. “The more you use, the more you have.” This year, we’re asking you to think about what pets do when their humans are out. Do the dogs take up art? Do the cats play video games? What happens? Draw your theories and share them with us! For contest rules and how to enter, Hurry! The contest ends February 1, 2024! Art Tips 1. Your art needs to be vertical(up and down), nothorizontal(across). 2. Make sure to leave enough space for the title of the magazine. 3. Use bright, bold colors that fill the entire page!

Online Art Contest and Competition

I'm so grateful to learn about CelebratingArt.com. I've been using our art room blog as a motivator, by posting the best artwork from each project. The students get really excited when their artwork is chosen for it, so I can only imagine how they will feel about being published in a book. It is very impressive! Thank you, thank you! I just wanted to say a big thank you! We will definitely enter your contest again in the fall and spring next year. The kids were super excited to be published artists and the money was even better. This is a great contest that rewards both students and teachers for their hard work and dedication and I appreciate it. We have enjoyed entering the competition for the past 3 seasons. Thanks for all that you do. I want to thank you for this wonderful opportunity for students’ artwork to be published. I so look forward to seeing the book with my students’ art. I received my check because I have three award winners. The check for me is wonderful but the look of joy on the students’ faces when I told them they were accepted - and then the three Top Ten award winners – was priceless. They are so excited and feeling very proud. This is an experience that I want to continue to offer my students. I had to take a minute to tell you how impressed we were with the high quality of the book. Never having seen one before I really didn’t know what to expect and was proud to have our students’ work included in such a beautiful anthology. Thank you for taking the...
