After a stellar first few weeks run at the box office window, the business of the film finally started to see a decline in collections with the release of new movies. However, now with the underperformance of the Ranveer Singh starrer Cirkus, Drishyam 2 has received a boost at the box office. In fact, the film, which also stars Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, and Shriya Saran, has managed to collect a further Rs. 0.70 cr. on Day 41. Drishyam 2 seems to have benefited the most from the underperformance of the Ranveer Singh starrer. In fact, the business of Drishyam 2 seems to be continuing its dominance at the box office, gradually seeing an increase in collections. Currently, the total collections of the film are pegged at Rs. 230.14 cr. after 41 days. As of now, Drishyam 2 still manages to run in theatres and continues to find an audience. In fact, trade predicts that the business of the film will continue to see growth well into the New Year. This is just about 15% drop as compared to Friday collections. This takes the film's total to Rs 216 crore nett. The week ahead looks good with a prediction of about Rs 7.50 crore nett business, the report further stated. This is a very good number for week five despite competition from a biggie like Avatar. The film will further face competition from Cirkus that releases on December 23. But with the holiday season, Drishyam 2 can add upto Rs 4-5 crore nett after the fifth which will total up around Rs 225 crore nett mark. This Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna starrer has continued to remain steady despite new releases like 'Bhediya' and 'An Action Hero'. On its third Tuesday, 'Drishyam 2' collected about 2.50 crore nett. That takes its second week total to 27 crore as per trade website boxofficeindia.com and by the end of this week, the film should manage to get around 33 crore. It has clocked in Rs 187 crore nett so far. Interestingly, the third week collections of the film will only be behind other Hindi movies like 'Dangal', 'PK' and 'Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior', 'Uri' and 'Kabir Singh'. But all these films were pre-pandemic.
