This is likely to bring the academic calendar, which has been disrupted for the last three years due to the Covid pandemic, back on track. New Delhi: Delhi University today kick-started the admission process for 78 undergraduate programmes for the academic year 2023-24 by launching a portal for registration. The classes for the upcoming academic session are likely to start on August 16, DU Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh announced. This is likely to bring the academic calendar, which has been disrupted for the last three years due to the Covid pandemic, back on track. Mr Singh launched the Common Seat Allocation System portal for registration. Like the last year, admissions are based on the merit score in Common University Entrance Test. "The University has now launched its Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS(UG) -2023) document that elaborates on the procedures that will be adopted for admissions. Admission to all these programmes and colleges is based on the merit score obtained from the Common University Entrance Test (CUET (UG)- 2023," the varsity said in the statement. Delhi University has launched its Common Seat Allocation System or the DU admission portal for UG programmes for the academic session 2023-24, with three new BTech courses. Students selecting the BTech courses will be admitted based on their JEE Main score. The registration portal for BTech courses will open in the last week of June. NEW DELHI: There are a total of 78 UG programmes in 68 colleges of DU with 71,000 seats while in Postgraduate courses there are 77 PG courses with 13,500 seats. This year, Delhi University is starting three BTech courses, and the registration portal will open in the last week of June. Students will get admission on the basis of their JEE Main score.
