An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 jolted parts of Delhi, NCR and Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. Mild tremors were felt in many areas of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana and Delhi-NCR. NEW DELHI: A 5.4-magnitude earthquake hit Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, as a result of which Delhi and several parts of north India experienced tremors. According to officials, the earthquake struck at 1.33 pm and it originated near the remote village of Gandoh Bhalessa in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district. "Tremors might have been felt in Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Punjab and all adjoining areas. The aftershock could be of a lesser magnitude than the main shock," National Center for Seismology director Dr OP Mishra said.
