Hillsborough County, Fla. (March 10, 2022) - For kids, Spring Break means a glorious week with no school. For parents, it's more complicated: How can they keep their children occupied, happy, and safe without breaking the bank? Hillsborough County's specialty Spring Break camps offer fun, low-cost activities throughout next week's Spring Break. Kids can practice their skateboard skills, go on eco-adventures, or play video games on 65-inch TVs in an esports lounge. ESPORTS CAMP Learn to play popular video games like Super Smash Brothers, Rocket League, and Fortnite in a specially created esports lounge with 65-inch TVs and gaming chairs. When: Monday, March 14, and Wednesday, March 16, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Where: Northdale Park & Recreation Center, 15550 Spring Pine Dr., Tampa, FL 33624 Cost: $12 each day. Registration is required; SKATE CAMP Skate camp is designed for first-timers, beginners, and intermediate skaters. Participants will learn skateboard fundamentals and techniques, board control, maneuverability, safety, and course etiquette. Cost: $60 for the week. Eco Adventures Camps 2021 Pandemic Update With a very successful COVID 2020 and 2021 summer camp season, we are confident that we can still function safely during the pandemic. The safety and well-being of our employees and customers, families and our animals, has always been our top priority and will continue to do so. That is why we are continuing the same changes to many of our procedures to employ stringent cleaning and safety practices to support the health and wellness of our employees and customers. We have plenty of space to spread out and practice social distancing, all staff is vaccinated and will wear masks, campers will now bring snacks from home, we will temp check, add more outside stations whenever possible and eat lunch outside (weather permitting), and parent pick up and drop off will now be in the car loop if more than 15 kids.
