El Clasico is one of the most anticipated and most-watched club matches of the entire European football season. Barcelona and Real Madrid have met over 280 times in their history, and many of those matchups have been high stakes with league titles and cups on the line between the two most successful clubs in Spanish football. Real Madrid had the better 2021/22 season, winning the Champions League and La Liga titles to secure a historic double. But one of the few highlights of the campaign for a Barcelona side in transition was the resounding 4-0 league victory at the Bernabeu in March. The draw for the 2022/23 LaLiga Santander season has revealed the Matchdays when the two El Clásico matches between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid will take place. The first encounter will take place on Matchday 9, the 16th of October 2022 at the Santiago Bernabeu. The second match will take place on Matchday 26, the 19th of March 2023 at the Camp Nou. The entire footballing world will again focus its attention on the latest chapters of the great rivalry between the Catalans and Madrileños – a match that features some of the best footballers on the planet. Last season Real Madrid and FC Barcelona each won an El Clásico.
