CHANDIGARH: To ensure transparency, Punjab government on Thursday decided to provide digital J-Forms to the farmers across the state from April 1, 2022. Reacting to the initiative of Mann said this move would provide real time access to system generated authentic digital J-Forms to farmers of the state, who could also download it from PMB website https://emandikaran-pb.in, in Arthia Login ID and DigiLocker, a GoI digital document wallet. J-Form is the sale receipt of the farmer’s agricultural produce in mandis and was earlier issued manually by arhtiyas. PMB is pioneer in the country to issue e-JForms (for MSP procured paddy and wheat only) during the rabi marketing season and kharif marketing season 2021-22. According to a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office, these digital J-Forms for paddy and wheat procured on MSP (minimum support price) would be made available 24X7. For the sake of ensuring authenticity, the digital JForm comes with a QR code, watermark and unique number. The JForms saved in DigiLocker are legally on a par with the original physical documents in line with Rule 9A of the Information Technology (Preservation and Retention of Information by Intermediaries providing Digital Locker facilities) Rules, notified in 2016, so the government has asked the farmers to rest assured.

20 October 2021, Chandigarh: The Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Thursday digitally launched the Inter-State Basmati Movement portal emandikaran-pb.in in order to stop influx of paddy-parmal from outside that is hampering procurement operations on MSP across the State. The move is aimed to allow free movement of Basmati into the State and alleviate any hardship being faced by genuine Basmati Rice Shellers besides GPS monitoring of Basmati Trucks – would help state to identify the genuine operators without impacting their daily operations. The Portal will show the GPS enabled movement of Basmati Trucks in the State. Any real time deviation from the route can be easily checked and access to the portal/App will be through a unique Login ID/Password. The Officers would enforce/check the mills this through the specific login IDs provided. Chairing a meeting with the representatives of rice shellers and arhtiya associations from across the State, the Chief Minister also said that Punjab being an agrarian state, the role of rice shellers and the arthiyas assumes great significance as they are closely connected with the agriculture. Assuring the rice mill owners and the arthiyas of fulsome support and cooperation from the Government, the Chief Minister exhorted them to meticulously adhere to the requisite standards with regard to checking the prescribed limit of moisture before the produce is brought into the markets.
