Take Your Pet To This Cafe That's Named After An Adorable 11

Just about a couple of days old, The Fat Labrador Cafe in Bavdhan is a charming, little neighbourhood eatery, which is perfect for you and your pooch. Run by Smita, Aniket and their 11-year-old fat labrador, Cookie, this cafe is made for pet parents who struggle to grab a bite at some place that's animal-friendly, and also serves good food. In fact, Smita and Aniket are one of those parents, who for the love of their pet and passion, quit their jobs and started this cafe that welcomes pets of all kinds. Having said that, at Fat Labrador's it is not just about pets, but also about pure, home-brewed coffee that tastes blissful. Currently, they have South Indian and Italian espresso blends which are must-try. However, if you like your coffee chilled, we recommend you order their Vietnamese-style iced coffee, brewed to perfection. Apart from that, we think their masala omelette, paneer sandwich with affogato and mango & basil smoothie bowl with roasted almonds are total winners. For your fur buds, order either the chicken soup or rice bowl with boiled eggs and chicken. They'll love it, trust us. Coming to the ambience, Fat Labrador's has very relaxed, soft decor with pretty interiors and airy al fresco setting. We loved the entire feel with wooden furniture, bar stools, glass panes and a stunning blue wall with monochrome photos of pet parents with their adorable fur buds. Lovely, right? Senior citizens love to sit with Joshua, while Junior loves to play fetch. Both of them happily share their toys with other pets brought by guests". We even get funny inquiries where people call and ask how much will we charge if they want to come and play with the dogs for an hour or so." At The Fat Labrador Cafe, Bavdhan, customers get upset if they don't get a chance to meet resident pet Rumi, who hangs out at the eatery throughout the week. "Rumi's four years old, doesn't have anger issues and loves people. But she usually avoids going to people she doesn't know, if she sees you around a couple of times, only then will she come to you. Customers come to the cafe to see her. Though unfair we once received a two-star rating because the guests came to the cafe expecting to meet Rumi, but she wasn't there that day. Sometimes people book reservations according to when Rumi would be around at the cafe just to play with her," said Aniket Na...
