Sabarmati: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today in a note announced online ticketing system for upcoming flower show 2022 in Ahmedabad. Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL) had started Online Booking & Payment Process for Event Centre, Vallabh Sadan Plots, Amphitheatre and also for Film Shooting. The Online Process has proved to be more People friendly and provides lot of convenience. Online Booking system through SRFDCL Website permits People/Organizations to book their preferred Venue in advance and has simplified the Booking & Payment process. This Online Booking feature provides all the required information related to booking of the Venues on the Website itself without visiting the premises. Similarly, SRFD Project is going to start the Online Ticket Booking process for Flower Park from December 25, 2021. SRFDCL has developed Cloud based Ticketing Software for all the Parks & Gardens at SRFD Project area and thus the Online Booking would be extended for all the Parks and Gardens in a Phased manner. The purpose for starting this Online Ticketing was to provide ease and convenience to the People. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s (AMC) Flower Show is back after a two-year hiatus. The tenth edition of the Flower Show will have an exhibition of over 10 lakh flowers and plants including several varieties of Orchid, Petunia, Lily, Ranunculus and Dianthus among others. The Flower Show 2023 will be held for a fortnight from January 1, 2023, onwards at Sabarmati Riverfront, Event Ground. Hitesh Barot standing committee chairman said the Flower Show will be organised for Rs 2.5 crore. It will be a ticketed event with each ticket costing Rs 30. School students will have a free entry from 9 AM to 12 PM. Barot said this time they will ensure that the Atal Bridge does not have more than 3,000 visitors at a time. “The show will have several attractions including sculptures made of Heena plants depicting different Olympic games. The show will also have flower and plant sculptures representing the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav celebration. A selfie point and a 200 feet long wall made of different shades of green will also be displayed,” said Barot. The other attractions include Flower Love Gate, Flower Tree, Flower Fall Pot and sculptures of different flower rolls. Some sculptures will have a wildlife theme. There will also be a replica of Lord Hanuman carrying the Sanjivani mountain made of flowers. Apart from the Flower Show, another popular event, The Kankaria Carnival will be inaugurated on December 25 by Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel.

The flower show will remain open till 11th January 2023 for visitors. CM Patel and other guests present on the occasion watched the flower sculptures and appreciated them.
