Fracture: Valorant Map Guide

STORY CONTINUES BELOW Fracture Overview Image via Riot Games. Fracture is a map released on September 8, 2021, alongside the launch of Episode 3, Act 2. It’s based in Santa Fe County, New Mexico, USA, and features a top-secret research facility eaten up by an experiment gone wrong. Unlike most map layouts, Fracture has the defenders starting on in the middle of the map. There are also two sides to every site, which the players can go to via a long zipline found in the middle. The map also has the most ultimate orbs in the entirety of Valorant, with a total of four. STORY CONTINUES BELOW Common Attacking Strategies The best way to attack on Fracture is by making use of multiple sides. This means that you should split up and attack a site from all cylinders. There’s no middle area on the map, so attacking from opposite sides is your best bet at overwhelming the defenders and getting into the site for free. Using your utility to gather early information and baiting out their skills is a great way if you want a more tactical approach. You could also push together before splitting up. On A site, you could split up between main and sands, and on B, you could split up between arcade and tower. Common Defending Strategies As defenders, your best bet is to split up between the two sites. There are a total of four main entrances that you’ll have to watch; this makes it quite difficult for everyone to have a position. On the A site, some common places to play are on top of site, the ...

Valorant Fracture Map Guide

Valorant Fracture Map Guide Fracture is one of the seven Fracture Map Layout and Callouts Fracture is one of the most unique maps in Valorant and the tactical FPS genre as a whole, thanks to its unusual layout and spawning positions. There are two sites connected by a middle section that the defenders spawn in, and two paths connecting the sites around the outside of the map where attackers spawn – pretty unconventional to say the least! A Site A Site has both a top and bottom section connected by some stairs, and there’s quite a bit of cover, giving both attackers a lot of planting options and defenders a lot of spots to hold site from. There are also two paths entering the site from the outskirts of the map – A Main and A Drop – and a path from Mid that forks into two smaller ones. B Site B Site is quite open, with just a small cubby in the corner and some boxes on site for cover. The site is connected to B Tower and has a big open space in front of it that players can enter from B Main, B Canteen, B Link, and B Arcade. There are many entry points, so getting onto B Site can be challenging as an attacking team. Special Feature – Ropes and a Mechanical Door Fracture’s main special feature is the two one-way ropes that extend all the way across the map, connecting Attacker Side Spawn to Attacker Side Bridge. Once you hop on, you have to ride all the way to the other side, as there’s no way to stop. You can, however, hold shift to move silently and more slowly, which will c...

However, the map is actually designed to promote teamwork and communications. Playing solo in Fracture is destined to bring no result as Attackers can spawn on both sides of the map while defenders can only spawn in the middle. Read More: So the decision to focus more on strength and manpower has to be done pre-round, meaning communications with your teammate will be an absolute necessity. With two bomb sites and a huge amount of chokepoints present on the map, memorizing the map’s layout will also be challenging.Riot clearly left out a series of hints about VALORANT’s lore scattered throughout the map. Additionally, the map itself seems like a part of the lore. At first glance, Fracture seems like a distant cousin of Bind. Although it doesn’t feature any Portals. On the other hand, Fractures map design has some distant similarities with Icebox & Breeze. The alleyways and tunnels kind of resembles a better-designed Split while the outside of the map gives us some clues about what happened to the place before an “...

Fracture: VALORANT Map Guide

Fracture Map Guide Fracture is VALORANT’s newest map that released at the end of Episode 3, Act 2. Similar to the ingenuity behind Icebox and Breeze, Riot developers have aimed to be creative and take a bunch of unconventional twists when designing Fracture. The map released before this, Breeze, wasn’t exactly everyone’s cup of tea. Maybe Riot heard the community out on this one since there are quite a few stark differences. Oppositely to Breeze, Fracture is a smaller map so it involves a lot more close-quarters contact. Breeze was very open and spacious with minimal cover on each bombsite, this led to a Marshal and Operator heavy meta. On the flip side, Fracture looks like it will be filled with confined spaces that have plenty of cover and angles to take short-medium range gunfights. The Layout Every map in Valorant feels like it is challenging the norms of tactical shooters and FPS games in general. Haven has 3 bomb sites, Bind has weird teleporters that help you navigate the map, Breeze seems like it would better be suited to an 8v8, Icebox has so much unusual verticality, and here we are with Riot’s latest unorthodox creation, ‘Fracture’. The layout of Fracture is mind-boggling. It traps defenders in its middle third (the middle third can be likened to the crossbar in the capital letter H). The defenders kind of feel stuck here and Riot is really wishing them a satirical GLHF by empowering the attacking team with the ability to start on two sides of the map. Most FPS ...
