New Delhi: Chiranjeevi, who is presenting the Telugu version of Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, during the film's promotions revealed why he cast Salman Khan and not Aamir Khan in his film GodFather. A video from the event is doing the rounds on social media, in which Aamir Khan says, "You see I was telling garu that please allow me to do something for you. Then he said, 'I will call you'. And two days later, he told me that, 'I was shooting with Salman (Khan) and he was telling me something about the movie'. Then I asked him, You didn't call me. You called Salman?" Replying to which, the veteran actor said, "The character didn't need someone with heart and brain, but needed someone for their physicality, and that's why we went with Salman." The actor agreed on doing a special role in the film, which stars megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role, for free. Salman, who joined the sets of Godfather last week, is busy wrapping up his portion. It is being said that he will soon be signing off from the Chiranjeevi-starrer ‘Godfather’. The duo are currently shooting for the film at the ND Studios in Karjat. On Tuesday, a picture from the sets of the film, featuring Salman Khan and Chiranjeevi along with the film’s director Mohan Raja and its producers, surfaced on social media. In no time, it went viral. In the picture, Chiranjeevi can be seen dressed in black kurta-pyjama (his signature look in ‘Godfather’), while Salman is sporting a causal look in a blue tee and black jeans. The film is an official remake of Prithviraj Sukumaran-directed ‘Lucifer’ headlining Mohanlal and features Salman Khan and Nayanthara.
