Its mighty camera system takes reliably excellent photos and videos, delivers impressive zoom, and smart imaging tools edge it ahead when it comes to editing features. We wish it offered full-resolution RAW photos and a Pro mode, but even without those, the Pixel 7 Pro is a great camera phone that justifies its price. Pixel 7a, 7, and 7 Pro Specs Despite the price differences, many of the phones' underlying specs are surprisingly similar. First of all, each features Google's homemade Tensor G2 processor, which includes a dedicated Titan M2 security coprocessor and fine-tuned algorithms to handle The more you spend, the more storage you get. I have been using the Pixel 7 Pro for almost three weeks now and have some thoughts on some of the best parts of the phone and some of its weaknesses. Google has moved past pre-orders and the phone is now available to buy. If you’re on the fence about buying yourself a Pixel 7 Pro, here is a quick guide that can help you make that decision. Reasons to buy the Pixel 7 Pro Camera capabilities The 48MP telephoto lens has a new 5X optical zoom which lets you focus on subjects really far away with a lot of clarity. The 12MP ultra wide lens is similar to last year’s seen on the Pixel 6 Pro but it now has autofocus in the lens with a field of view of 125.8 degrees and a new Macro Focus mode that turns the camera into a macro lens. The Pixels 7 Photograph: Google These Pixels aren't radically different from last year's luxe? They feel like a set of jewelry. The Pixel 7 now has a smaller 6.3-inch AMOLED screen. It's a lovely size, and every part of the phone feels almost perfectly accessible in my hand. I'll take any size reduction we can get considering the Pixel 7 Pro's 6.7-inch screen still feels massive. Google did reduce just how much the edges of the Pixel 7 Pro's screen curve into its edges, which I appreciate. I'd still much prefer a completely flat screen like the one on the Pixel 7, but the change makes it feel nicer to use than the Pixel 6 Pro. Screen brightness has always been a problem on Pixel phones. On sunny days, you usually had to squint to see anything. Google has upped the brightness a bit, but next to an iPhone 14 on a bright day, it's still relatively dim. At least both phones retain the Battery-wise, the Pixel 7's 4,355-mAh cell has managed to last me roughly a full day with about six hours of screen-on time. If you're a heavy user, you may need to carry One big new addition is Face Unlock on the selfie camera, which works in tandem with a new and improved fingerprint sensor that sits under the display. The sensor has generally been far more reliable for me than the one on the Pixel 6 series, and Face Unlock is quick to recognize my face.
