We have two machines flying Gyro tech towers and blades here in Texas. Also have two flying sport copter and one flying extruded aluminum blades, but not sure of the brand. I can honestly say the Gyro tech blades fly the best, they have better response to stick input and not as heavy on the stick as sport copter. They are all on drop keel RAF. Did you lengthen your control rods to deal with the taller rotor head, or make/modify the cheek plates to drop down to suit the original RAF height? Also curios to know if you found any way to safety wire the capscrews that attach the control rod upper rodend to the new rotorhead (or just use loctite?) Are there any photos of your machine on the internet? Gary The Gyro-Tech blades are very heavy, so the rotor stresses the prerotator drive more than usual. It has broken down 3 times so far. My gyro originally had the Type1 rotor, which is very light. Type2 is heavier - but my rotor is 8 kg heavier still. I have sometimes used silicone spray with the belt for slippage. Very recently (after storing my gyro for the winter) I discovered, there is a limit valve on the pneumatic cylinder that tightens the prerotator belt. I hope I can reduce the load on the drive by limiting air and using silicone spray.
