30 BEST Places to Visit in Havelock Island

Although I would rate this ferry as more comfortable, I personally was not in favor of the seating arrangements. We were seated deep down in the Vessel where no windows existed. There were a lot of cockroaches too, seats were small. More like stadium seats. Once we reached Neil, the Capt of the ship was asking everyone to de board quick. I hope he remembers that we are customers and not crew members. Compared to the competition, this was definitely a better ship. There was lesser movement, it was more comfortable. We visited this place in the evening with friends for drinks. It had very good live music. I would rate the cocktails 3/5 though. The pizza was very good. Overall the vibe is very good though and it’s open till 10:30pm, which is also a bonus in Havelock. Definitely a must visit place if you want to chill place to hang (not a fine dining experience), with nice live music & good food. I would suggest giving the cocktails a miss and going for beer or booze instead. Did open scuba certification with my sister, great learnings, avi, akshay and anto were the instructor, the conduct was very professional and the course was absolutely by the book, amazing dive sites and a must do for any person willing to stretch their learning boundaries. Stayed in the on-campus huts, which were perfect embodiment of sundar, sasta and tikau. Looking forward to advanced someday! It was our 1st Dive experience and Gypsy divers made it memorable for our family. The process was very smooth r...

Elephant Beach (Havelock Island)

This is the best beach for water sports. It is a must visit if you go to Havelock. There is a trek of around 2 kms to reach the beach. Best to go with a local guide. Entry starts at 8 am and the last entry is a 1 pm. You can easily spend about 3-4 hours there. You may use your own snorkeling equipment here in a small area, but that area also has a lot of marine life. Best beach to see the corals and experience life underwater via snorkelling. Do not miss the experience, it’s amazing! You can also indulge in other water sports activities here, very well organised by various operators. They usually bring you into elephant beach on a ferry and give you 3 hours time to experience the rides and other adventure activities based on your interest. Amazed to find such crystal water and coral reefs intact inspite of so many water sports going on above them! Not for long I fear 😡 No doubt tourism generates a lot of employment in the industry bereft region but at what cost!! The government should restrict the number of visitors per day. All boats must be electric. Only snorkeling and glass bottom boats and scuba should be allowed. I see absolutely no reason for allowing jet ski, parasailing and all inflatable rides over the reefs. The smell and noise of motor boats used to ferry tourists here and also for all these rides is just unbelievable! Garbage bins overflow. More trash bins or frequent collection needed. Swachh Bharat?? Hi ... this depends on the monsoon. It will start to rain ...

Radhanagar Beach (Havelock Island)

HI! me and my friends went to Andaman on a 4-day Backpacking Tour. Our circle consisted of 6 people, and all of us had a super fun bachelor’s trip to this beautiful island, pride of India! Thrillophilia guided us with the best package deals, accommodations, transport and meals throughout our journey. The first of the four days included arrival at the Port Blair airport and checking in the hotel. The hotel was overlooking the sea beach, the staff were friendly and the brunch was super delicious. After a short relaxation in the afternoon, we went on for an evening stroll on the Corbyn cove beach. The beach is splendid and extremely clean. I did snorkel while my friends had an action-packed evening with diving and swimming. The water activities are affordable. We also found that some sea view resorts offer spas. After this we were guided to the infamous light and sound show at the cellular jail, it was a breath-taking performance. Our second day included a trip to the most awaited Havelock Island. This is a rather small island, but it has great picturesque scenic views. We sunbathed at the sea beach and relaxed while enjoying drinks from the restaurants. We didn't do any water sports here although the water here is more crystal clear, and snorkelling could have been fun! On the third day we went to the very interesting, beautiful Kalapathar beach. The view here is equally extravagant. Andaman is all about beautiful beaches. I advise you to pack a lot of swimwear, and enjoy th...
