TMC lawmaker Derek O'Brien has filed a complaint with Kolkata's cyber police station over the alleged leak of sensitive data stored in CoWIN portal. The leaked data included Aadhaar and passport numbers. The disclosures had prompted criticism from experts and Opposition leaders, but the government denied a ?direct breach? had taken place. A senior officer from Kolkata police?s detective department said a probe has been started. Two Uzbek women were detained at Indira Gandhi International Airport for attempting to smuggle 16.5kg of gold worth ?8.16 crore ($1.1m) into India from Tashkent. The women were apprehended on the basis of intelligence inputs and the gold was discovered after one of the women abandoned a bag at the customs arrival hall.
