Dear Editor, First of all, the heartiest congratulations on publishing the first issue of the Journal of Arthroscopic Surgery and Sports Medicine. It is a very commendable job done by you as an Editor-in-Chief and also by the executive committee of the Indian Arthroscopy Society (IAS). We read with deep interest your editorial “The birth of an official journal of Indian Arthroscopy Society.” [ Later, with the support of Drs. Prateek Gupta, IPS Oberoi, S. Arumugam, and Swarnendu Samanta, the required funds could be arranged for the journal. There was a high demand for all the members to start their own journal of our society. Upon your election as Editor-in-Chief, work kick-started even before taking charge of the position and you being the editorial board members of various national and international journals provided the speed to the process. The conference witnessed more than 325 delegates from across India. The course was unique on its own as it aimed to demonstrate the most recent advances in shoulder and knee surgery. It involved Arthroscopic surgeries of the knee and shoulders and Osteotomies using joint preservation techniques. Joint preservation was the main focus and theme of the course.
