“Me and my partners Keyur and Divya Nagori happened to visit the Bounce centre in Dubai. It occurred to us that this has appeal across age groups and could be a good business model. So, we reached out to them for a possible partnership to launch in India,” Barot told ET. “They were already keen to come to India, but haven’t got serious partners. We met in February this year and in April we signed as the exclusive franchise for Bounce Inc in India.” Bounce, unlike KidZania, is for people of all ages and is already running operations at 32 venues across 16 countries including Australia, UK, US, Singapore and the Middle East. Talking about India plans, Barot said that Stratospheric Entertainment will be investing about Rs 150 crore over the next 4 years to open 7-8 Bounce venues in India. According to Barot, each venue costs around Rs 20 crore, whereas the breakeven time is around 18-24 months. “As per our calculations, even at a 30% capacity, we will break even in 18 months.
