InventHelp Lawsuit

I was scammed out of 33,000 from Inventhelp. all I received was a patent. I was promised to have my product reviewed by potential consumers and licensing agents , published in 2-3 magazines and have my product in a large databank that a certain amount of potential clients would review over a period of time. Needless to say, 10 years later and one trade show later( an additional 1200.00 dollars later, no results, call backs, or nothing. I never stopped calling requesting updates to databanks, because I was never able to contact anyone that was listed.

Around June or July I ended up putting down 3,000 as a down payment for "services" provided by inventhelp. I chose the $12,000 option they had but they put me down for the $16,000 option without my consent or knowledge. Well, once I put in the down payment, 3 months to by with No update and no service whatsoever. It wasn't until i stopped paying that they actually tried getting in contact. Well, turns out they have a ton of lawsuits against them which I shouldve researched before hand. Im not expecting a refund, but I want this "debt" cleared from my credit report for the 2 reasons of 1. Having a different pay rate chosen behind my back and without consent (the $16,000 instead of the $12,000 I chose) 2. For the lack of services I was promised but never received We are in receipt of the above referenced complaint. In July 2022 this complainant contracted for the assistance in submitting his invention to industry in an attempt to obtain a good faith review. This complainant’s claim that he received no services is simply untrue. In fact, we prepared an Invention Summary, Press Release, and a New Product Submission Brochure which were sent to him for his review and input. Shortly after sending these materials, the complainant sent us revisions, which were promptly revised and re-sent for his approval. After approving his New Product Submission Brochure, we proceeded to submit his invention information to companies registered in our Data Bank with the hope of obtaining a good f...

InventHelp Fraudulent Services for Would-Be Inventors Class Action

Plaintiff Etta Calhoun had an idea for an invention, and she was attracted by InventHelp commercials, which claimed that the company had “more than 9,000 companies who have agreed to review ideas” it submits. However, the complaint for this class action alleges that InventHelp maintains a fraudulent web of companies that do nothing but defraud would-be inventors while escaping liability. The class for this action is all persons and entities in the US who bought goods and/or services from the defendants in this case who were contacted by the defendants from 2010 to the present. Calhoun’s idea was bedding printed with quotations from Christian scripture. The complaint claims that such bedding was already available, but when she met with an InventHelp representative in February 2012, the complaint says the woman told her that her idea was original and an excellent opportunity for profit. Calhoun agreed to a “Basic Information Package Report.” She could not afford the $780 payment, but the company offered her a loan through a seemingly independent company and she accepted. She also signed two contradictory disclosures. One said that the total number of clients InventHelp had contracted with in the past five years was 8,095 and that the number who had received more money than they had paid out to InventHelp was 38; the other said that the total number of persons who had contracted with the company since 1985 was 53,037 and that the number who had received more money than they h...
