The interest rate on Indian Overseas Bank Tax Saving FDs is 6.50% p.a. for the general public and 7.00% p.a. for senior citizen depositors for tenures of 5 to 10 years. The bank also offers various fixed deposit products for NRIs, such as NRO, NRE, RFC and FCNR fixed deposits. Indian Overseas Bank accepts FCNR fixed deposits in US Dollars (USD), British Pound Sterling (GBP), Euro (EUR), Japanese Yen (JPY), Canadian Dollar (CAD), Australian Dollar (AUD), Swiss Franc (CHF), New Zealand Dollar (NZD) and Singapore Dollar (SGD). IOB hikes FD rates by up to 60 bps, offers up to 7.15% on a tenor of 444 days

Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), one of the leading public sector lenders, increased interest rates on fixed deposits under ₹2 crore. According to the bank's official website, the revised rates are in effect as of 10.11.2022. Following the adjustment, the bank increased interest rates on select tenors by up to 60 bps. The bank is now offering interest rates between 3.60% and 6.40% on FDs with maturities ranging from 7 days to 3 years and above. Deposits maturing in 444 Days and 3 Years and above, IOB is now offering a maximum interest rate of 6.40% for the general public, 6.90% for senior citizens and 7.15% for super senior citizens. IOB FD Rates The bank will continue to give an interest rate of 3.60% on FDs maturing in 7 days to 45 days, while IOB has increased the interest rate on FDs maturing in 46 to 90 days by 10 basis points, from 3.75% to 3.85%. IOB has hiked the interest rate by 10 bps from 4.10% to 4.20% on FDs maturing in 91-179 Days and the bank has hiked the interest rate by 20 bps from 4.65% to 4.85% on FDs maturing in 180-269 Days. One of the well-known public sector lenders, Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), has announced an interest rate hike on fixed deposits under ₹2 crore. According to the bank's official website, the new rates are in effect as of January 1, 2023. Following the modification, the bank increased FD interest rates on short-term deposits with tenors of 7 to 90 days by up to 75 bps. IOB FD Rates On deposits maturing in 7-45 days, the bank has hiked the interest rate by 75 bps from 3.75% to 4.50% and on those maturing in 46-90 days, IOB has hiked the interest rate by 70 bps from 4.05% to 4.75%. IOB will continue to pay 4.20% interest on deposits that mature in 91-179 days, while the bank will pay 4.85% interest on deposits that mature in 180-269 days. Deposits that mature in 270 days to a year will still earn interest at a rate of 5.25%, and those that mature in a year to a two-year period (apart from 444 days) will still earn interest at a rate of 6.40%.
