Jaipur climate: weather by month, temperature, rain

Climate chart - Jaipur The climate of Jaipur is subtropical, with a rainy season that runs from approximately from mid-June to mid-September, due to the monsoon, and a dry season from late September to early June. The city is located in the north-west of India, in the state of Rajasthan (of which it is the capital), at 27 degrees north latitude and 430 meters (1,400 feet) above sea level, and on the banks of the Dravyavati River. Together with Delhi and Agra, it forms the so-called Golden Triangle, a popular tourist circuit among Indians. Since the dry season is long, the landscape is barren. However, we are in the part of Rajasthan east of the Aravalli Mountains, where the monsoon is a bit more intense. In July and August, floods in the lower parts of the city are quite frequent when heavy rains occur. Disastrous floods have occurred occasionally, as in July 1981 and August 2012. In winter, from mid-November to late February or early March, nights are cool, and sometimes even cold. In January 2011, the temperature dropped to 1.4 °C (34.5 °F). In addition, from November to February, fog can form at night and in the early morning, although more rarely than in the Ganges plain. From mid-March to mid-June, before the monsoon, it is very hot, albeit a little less than in the western part of Rajasthan. In the hottest periods, the temperature can reach or exceed 45 °C (113 °F). It reached 46.6 °C (115.9 °F) in May 1998 and 46.5 °C (115.7 °F) in May 2016. Best Time The best time ...
