The motorsports world was rocked by sad news on Monday, with reports confirming the tragic death of WRC star and YouTube icon, Ken Block. • • • Ken Block dies in snowmobile accident According to reports on Monday, rally car driving champion and action sports star Ken Block has died at the age of 55 following a terrible snowmobile accident in Utah. It is understood, that Block was traversing a steep slope in the mountains of Utah’s Wasatch County at around 2:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon, when the snowmobile he was riding overturned and landed on top of him. Though Block is said to have been riding with a group of people, he was alone at the time of the incident. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the injuries that he sustained in the accident. Everyone at Autosport is saddened to hear that WRC, Hoonigan, WRX and X Games legend, Ken Block, has passed away at the age of 55. Incidentally, it was just last week that Block had been in Idaho where he was seen - in photos/videos - performing stunts on a new and more powerful snowmobile.
