Hi, You will get a public transport from Khandwa Railway Station. You may travel upto Sanavad and change a bus for Omkareshwar. From Sanavad, you will also get shared vehicles. The total journey time is elected to be around 2 to 2.5 hours. Please try and schedule to leave Omkareshwar by 16:00 hrs so as to ensure you will reach Ujjain by 20:30 - 21:00 hrs. There are regular busses available for going to Ujjain via Indore. CarLink You have lot of options for travelling to Ujjain via omkareshwar. You can choose to opt for Public transport towards Indore usually cost 80-100 till Omkareshwar and is available every 30 Mins and takes 2-2.5 hours to reach omkareshwar. If you are arriving by HYD-Ajmer express you will easily get lot of Taxi's usually the Tavera/Similar category vehicles right at the exit. Or you can walk to bus stand just 5 min. walk. After you visit Omkareshwar (Incase direct Ujjain bus not available )Take transport to Indore and which getting down at Indore you will have option to get a bus for Ujjain from there it self(Journey time 1-1.5 Hrs) or you can choose to travel by Train (less frequency take around 2 hrs.) costs around 70 Rs. Indore (Madhya Pradesh): On Tuesday, train services on the meter gauge between Mhow and Omkareshwar Road on the Indore-Khandwa section chugged for the last time. The Railways is gearing up for the broad gauge in this section. The last train departed from Omkareshwar Road railway station for Mhow at 9.25 am on Tuesday. Before the departure, people gathered at the station to bid an emotional farewell and the train’s loco pilot Daulatram Meena and co-driver Rishi Kumar were garlanded. Always Special The Indore-Khandwa rail line has always been special for travellers. It runs from Omkareshwar to Badwah, Balwara, Choral, Kalakud and Patalpani to Mhow. This track has always been special because of the scenic beauty. Tunnels, waterfalls, dense forests have always enthralled passengers on board. Many boarded the train departing Mhow on Monday and Omkareshwar Road on Tuesday in order to be a part of history. Passengers scribble messages More than 100 passengers reached Omkareshwar Road station and several of them scribbled messages on the train coaches with chalks. MPTDC Dorm beds are about 150/- per day. next entire day keep for Ujjain sight seeing trip . check Also you can check with MPTDC if they have a sight-seeing trip for Ujjain , Indore and Omkareswar . Visit Bhartruhari Caves,Mahakaleshwar Temple,Patal Bhairav Temple,Kalideh Palace,Gomti Kund in Ujjain and Chokhi Dhani ,Central Museum/ Indore Museum,Chhatris,Lal Baag Palace,Kanch Mandir,Rajwada in Indore and offcourse Jyotirlinga during Omkareswara visit. hi jpmb6562 , you can board "15046 GORAKHPUR EXP" on a Sunday at 9:40 pm from Jamnagar and reach Ujjain at 2:25 pm next day. while staying in ujjain , you can visit Harsiddhi Mandir and Mahakaleswar . Omkareswar is approx 150 kms from Ujjain . So i would suggest that you catch a train from Ujjain and get down at Omkareswar road which is about 10 kms from the temple . btw , you will get daily trains to Ujjain from Rajkot. you cn check that option too.
