By India Today Sports Desk: Senior batting star KL Rahul on Wednesday took to social media to tell his fans and followers that he has begun rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. The wicketkeeper-batter was seen doing light workouts at the gym at the cricket facility in his hometown. KL Rahul shared a heartwarming message on Instagram, saying he was taking small steps towards recovery and return to action. Rahul was accompanied by his wife Athiya Shetty to the UK as the star cricketer spent considerable time after surgery in rehabilitation before returning to India. On Tuesday, Rahul shared photos of the Chinnaswamy Stadium, calling it his home. Rishabh Pant has been out of action since December 2022. The wicketkeeper-batter suffered nasty injuries on his wrist, knees and back when his car crashed into a divider while he was returning to his home in Roorkee. Notably, Pant was seen walking with crutches when he was at the Arun Jaitley Stadium to cheer and support the Delhi Capitals during their IPL 2023 matches at home. Pant also met and greeted the Delhi players when they were at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru as he had checked-in to the NCA once last month. Both Pant and Rahul are racing against time to be fit for India's campaign in the 2023 World Cup, which will be held in India in October-November.
