JetBlue announces new livery. First plane to start flights this week.

Planespotters, get excited. The Airbus A321 is fit with Mint business class and will feature an all-blue fuselage, green accented winglets and a new tail pattern. JetBlue has not yet announced what route it will be assigned to for its inaugural flight. “Our aircraft have always been what we talk about as our icons in the sky,” Jayne O’Brien, JetBlue’s head of marketing and loyalty, told USA TODAY. She added that the airline plans to refresh the liveries of all of its planes as they go through their regular paint cycle. An aircraft is typically repainted once every six years, she said. “What we are is embracing that schedule and bringing in some of the refreshed designs,” O’Brien added. The new paint schemes will include a larger JetBlue logo, as well as extending the tailfin pattern to the underside of the aircraft, where it will be easier to spot from the ground. Winglets will also include new accent colors, though JetBlue has not finalized the full palette or all the tailfin designs that will be included in its refresh. On May 20, 2022, Jet Airways received its revalidated air operator permit from the DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation). This allows the airline to resume flights under new investors, the Jalan-Kalrock consortium, and a new management team. With new management, funding, and new ownership, the future seems to be bright as well as challenging for Jet Airways. The airline received its revalidated AOC after it conducted proving flights on 15th and 17th May. Jet Airways intends to restart commercial flights in the next quarter of this year (July-September 2022). “We are grateful to have received the revalidated AOC, the culmination of months of efforts by a fantastic and dedicated team.
