The 9th season of the Indian Super League (ISL) is perhaps the most awaited edition of the Super League. Sports across the world including India was suspended in March 2020 due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus. Indian Super League 2019-20 final was played behind closed doors in Goa. ISL then came back for the fans with it's 8th edition of the competition. The 2021-22 season was also played behind closed doors except the finale where fans where allowed to come in large numbers to support their team. The 2021-22 ISL season saw Hyderabad FC clinch the ISL title by defeating the mighty Kerala Blasters. The Fatorda Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium hosted the final where Hyderabad FC won the tie by 3-1. It was heartbreaks for all the Kerala Blasters fans as their club once again failed to win an ISL final. The next edition of Indian Super League is set to go on floors on 19th of November 2022.
