12oz can dated 11/19/21 and oozed like ink into a pint glass shows a dark, dark mahogany brown, opaque body boasting a strong 1/2" head of cream colored foam that eventually recedes to remote islands and an edge-hugging ring with spotted lacing. Aroma is roasty malt, mostly coffee, but a sweet aroma joins. Flavor is mostly roasted coffee bean, and the sweet aroma develops into a cocoa flavor in the background. No off flavors. Mouthfeel is full and silky, if not creamy. Overall a solid example of the style This is very nice release from one of my favorite local (Missouri) breweries. I've been enjoying their Snapper for a while now, but I tried this for the first time this weekend at a tasting in my local grocery store of all places? I've come never to expect much from American born stouts, as most of them are going for that "Coffee" flavor, which I can't stand. I love my coffee, dark and thick, and I like my stouts, but just not in the same glass. Anyway, for anyone out there who is like me, this is a great non-coffee stout. More like a Porter in some ways than a stout as Sabojik has already stated in his review, which I consider spot on, so just read his review, and forget all the others, including my own, if you want to get an accurate idea of what this brew is all about. Cheers! Poured from a 12oz can dated from just over two weeks ago, this is a crisp black stout with a minimal tan head and moderate lacing. Smells and tastes primarily of grain, particularly malt, with s...

Bobber Lager

Very slightly hazy clear golden color with a decent foamy white head and moderate lacing. The aroma is biscuits and light sweet malt with a bit of floral hops. The taste is also light sweet malt, biscuits, crackers and a grassy, floral hops finish. The body is light, nice and smooth. Altogether a really nice lager. I won a can of this beer from my fantasy football league from OPD. It poured a slightly hazy golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had faint grain notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crisp saaz hop like finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer. Pours clear dark yellow with one finger of white foam. Aroma is crackery, pilsner, biscuity malts and light straw. Flavor profile is crackery, biscuity malts and very light spicy hops. Mouth feel is soft with a medium thickness. Overall, very light, especially driven by the soft texture. Draft. Reviewed on phone. 12oz can. 1/25/19 best by date. Appearance: Cloudy, golden brown, with low lying white head and minimal lacing. Aroma: Light floral and spicy noble hop notes, over some toasted malt. Taste: Start with a moderate toasted cracker and light caramel malt sweetness. No real hop flavor shows up, and ends with a moderate perceived bitterness. Very malt forward. Mouthfeel: Medium body with a light carbonation. Finish: Leaves a slightly fruity, apple like sweetness. Maltiness carries through the finish, with only a slight hop res...

Of brews, boats and bonhomie: Long Boat Brewing Co is a place away from the madding crowd At Long Boat Brewing Co., bid goodbye to the hustle and bustle of city life as you kick back with a beer or two amid a Scandinavian setting and calming waterfall March 25, 2023 03:38 pm | Updated March 26, 2023 10:59 am IST What does a typical Bengalurean want after a long week of staring at screens and scrolling through Excel sheets? A glorious escape. Long Boat Brewing Co. provides just that. This four-month old microbrewery, whisks away the weary diner to a different world of Vikings amid a verdant setting, helping them forget the humdrum routine of hustle culture. Located in Marathahalli, the place is not too far away from Ironhill Bengaluru, another sprawling watering hole. And this is where their pièce de résistance helps them stand apart. Occupying centre-stage is a 30-foot man-made waterfall, giving the place an instant calm and cool vibe. Almost Zen-like, with the added jazz of an expansive and tantalising menu. We start with a beer sampler, a great choice for the confused and connoisseur alike. The devil is in the details, indeed. So these miniatures come to us in a boat shaped tray, a smaller version of the giant decor piece framing the wall near the entrance. “The name Longboat resembles the journey that the Vikings take to conquer the world and to feast on celebrations. It also resembles the Scandinavian ambience with respect to water bodies, waterfalls and elements of na...
