The occasion was also graced by actor and Manikanta's sister Aishwarya Rajesh. It will be a romantic thriller. My Dear Dayana marks Manikanta Rajesh's first web series. The series will be helmed by Arulmozhi Giridhar Ramaganesh and Purushothaman Kutti. It also stars actor Mahalakshmi, Jana Kumar, Mahesh Subramaniam, Akshay Premnath, Duroshini and others. Guha Ganesh will compose the music for this web series with cinematography by Watts Prabhu. Elangovan has done the editing work. Manikanta recently took part in the sixth season of Bigg Boss.

The actor-host announced that Manikanta Rajesh had been evicted from the show. He also announced Ticket To Finale and asked the contestants to give their best as the show is nearing its end. On Sunday, January 1, the host asked the contestants to pick one item in the house that has been a companion or a source of strength inside the house. Shivin picked the rose that Mynaa Nandhini's husband Yogi gave her, while Vikraman chose the Buddha statue. ADK chose his nameboard while Rachitha chose the Nippon blobby. He then asked them to gift that item to a fellow contestant. Shivin and Rachitha gave their items to each other and became emotional. Vikraman received more gifts and he was saved from elimination. Directed by Arulmozhi Giridhar Ramaganesh and Purushothaman Kutti, the series stars debutante Mahalakshmi as the female lead. Speaking about the story ofMy Dear Dayana, director Giridhar says, "The series is a romantic comedy that revolves around a couple who are in a live-in relationship. While other couples fight over big issues, this couple fights over the silliest of problems. How they overcome the conflicts between them, and whether or not they take their relationship forward forms the crux of the story." Manikanta and Mahalakshmi will be playing the live-in couple in the series. "Manikanta Rajesh was the only actor who connected with the story and suggested a lot of inputs for the series. He was a big support for the series," says Giridhar, adding, "We felt a new face would suit the character best." The makers are planning to begin shooting for My Dear Dayana on April 15. "We are planning to release the series by the end of June. As most of the shooting is happening in and around Chennai, we hope to wrap up the shoot within 30-35 days."
