The road for most part is tiled but there are rough and muddy patches too. One can do it very easily on foot as it is walking distance form most hotels in Matheran and there are a few other spots to be seen on the way. There are many kiosks on the way if you need snacks, water, soft drinks etc. The view from the point is very nice. For better vision one should carry a binocular. There is very little shade on the site to sit and relax. Time taken to reach the point from the market is approximately 30-40 minutes on foot and one needs to spend around 30 minutes for viewing and photography. One of the top spots on the itinerary.
