खसरा श्वसन के माध्यम से फैलने वाली एक संक्रामक बीमारी है, जो 9 माह से 10 वर्ष तक के बच्चों में सर्वाधिक होता है। इस बीमारी में यह संक्रमण (Infection) आमतौर से 14 दिनों तक रहता है। यह सबसे अधिक संक्रामक बीमारियों में से एक है। इसके वायरस के संपर्क में आने वाले लोगों का अगर टीकाकरण नहीं हुआ है, तो वे इसके शि‍कार हो जाते हैं। रोगी के मुंह को साफ करने के लिए गुनगुने पानी का इस्तेमाल करना चाहिए। अगर उसमें थोडी सी लाल दवा (Potassium permanganate) डाल दें, तो बेहतर है। पर ध्यान रहे, दांतों को साफ करते समय ज्यादा जोर न दें। रोगी की आंखों में में सोते समय गुलाब जल डालने पर लाभ होता है। इसके अलावा सुबह बोरिक पाउडर (Boric powder) गुनगुने पानी में रूई भिगोकर आंखों को आंखों को धोना चाहिए। रोगी के शरीर की साफ-सफाई के साथ उसके कपड़ों पर भी विशेष ध्यान देना चाहिए। उसे ढीले और सूती कपड़े पहनाने चाहिए तथा उन्हें रोज बदल देना चाहिए। इसके साथ ही उसके बिस्तर पर सूती चादर बिछानी चाहिए और उसे रोज बदल देना चाहिए। बीमारी की दशा में रोगी को बाहर नहीं ले जाना चाहिए। अगर बहुत आवश्यक हो, तो मोटे सूती कपड़े से ढ़क कर ले जाना चाहिये। इसके साथ ही रोगी के रहने के स्थान पर भी ध्यान देना आवश्यक है। वह बहुत गर्म, ठंडा अथवा सीलन वाला नहीं होना चाहिए। खसरे के रोगी के खानपान पर बहुत ध्यान की आवश्यकता होती है। उसे खाने में हलका और आसानी से पचने वाला भोजन देना चाहिए। उसके भोजन में नमकीन चीजें नहीं होनी चाहिए, क्योंकि उनसे शरीर में खुजली बढ़ने की संभावना रहती है। खसरा के रोगी को विटामिन युक्त पदार्थ जैसे कि पालक, गाजर आदि अध‍िक मात्रा में देना चाहिए, इससे रोग पर नियंत्रण करने में मदद मिलती है और शरीर को भरपूर ऊर्ज...
