Meftal-Spas DS Tablet is a combination of two medicines namely Dicyclomine and Mefenamic acid. It is an antispasmodic medicine used for the treatment of spasms and pain in the abdomen during or befor e menses. This medicine should not be used for more than 7 days. If the pain persists, consult your doctor. It should preferably be taken with food or after food. This medicine should not be given to children below 12 years of age. It is advisable to give them the paediatric formulations of this medicine. It is used for the treatment of abdominal (stomach) pain and dysmenorrhea, it is a condition in women who experience severe and frequent cramps and pain during menses. MEFTAL SPAS TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with preexisting renal disease or obstructive uropathy, asthma, increased pressure in eyes (glaucoma), myasthenia Gravis (muscle weakness), gastrointestinal conditions like inflammatory bowel disease, severe ulcerative colitis, paralysis of intestine (paralytic ileus), chronic constipation (intestinal atony) and toxic dilatation of intestine (megacolon).
