With participants from all across the world, it has continued to be one of the ‘Big Four’ international pageants, along with Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss Earth. From the first Miss world ever to all those who scored the title of Miss World from India, here’s taking a look at the winners. In 1954, 1966, 1981–2017 and 2019–present the pageant has awarded a Top 3 with the Miss World, 1st, and 2nd runner-up being awarded. The first event of Miss World was held in London in the year 1951. In the first edition of the contest, a total of 26 contestants participated in the event. Over the years the number of contestants has increased, beauties all over the world participate in the contest every year. 1951 – It was the first edition of the pageant originally known as Festival Bikini Contest. MANILA, Philippines — Karolina Bielawska of Poland was declared as the winner of Miss World 2021, the 70th edition of thepageant heldon March 16 at the Coca-Cola Music Hallin San Juan, Puerto Rico. Originally scheduled to be held on December 16, 2021 at the Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum, the pageant was rescheduled to March 16, 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
