Motorola Moto G62

It’s a rock-solid phone for people who want an upgrade that opens them up to the 5G mobile internet speeds that are now standard in phone contracts in many countries. The Moto G62 also has a few of the characteristics that have made the Moto G series phones easy to recommend for so long. Overall, battery life is good, the design is unlikely to turn anyone off, the software is tasteful and uncluttered, and the price is right. In these two areas — the camera and high-end gaming — you’ll get much better results if you spend a little more money. However, if you’re interested in the Moto G62, it’s probably because you don’t want to spend more. If that’s the case, this phone is one of the best to buy right now. Check out our rundown of the Motorola Moto G62 price and availability (Image credit: Future / Andrew Williams) This phone’s main job is to provide 5G mobile internet to those who haven’t experienced it yet and to do so on a tight budget. It costs £199/$399AU, clearly intended to shimmy under specific price borders. (While not widely available in the US at the time of review, you can expect to pay around $280.) The Moto G62 was released in June 2022 alongside the higher-end Moto G82, which is a bit more powerful, a bit slimmer and has a superior OLED display. If you’re importing, take note there is a different version of the Moto G62 for the Indian market, which has a better Snapdragon 695 SoC and more RAM. It will perform a bit better than the model reviewed here. • Value...

Moto Tab G62 Review: Goes Big on Display, Falls Short on Performance

The tablet market has seen a recent surge, with manufacturers dipping their toes into the budget segment to capture some new users. Tablets, unlike smartphones, are targeted towards people who are keener on watching movies and TV shows on a handheld device rather than on a big screen hung up on the wall. In the recent past, companies such as Realme and OPPO have already made their mark in the budget territory. We call it determined, and you can call it lazy. The Moto Tab G62 eerily looks identical to the Moto Tab G70 with a dual-tone back panel. More than half of the rear is painted in silver while the rest is coloured in frosted blue. There’s a single camera on the rear and Motorola branding in the centre, accompanied by the Dolby Atmos trademark. Unfortunately, it’s available in a single colour variant only. We are not big fans of this design and would’ve liked to see something funky. But considering the price, it only seems fair that Motorola had to focus on other things at hand. Keeping the negatives aside, the build quality of the tablet is sturdy. The back panel does not attract any smudges, and the frosted portion has a slightly coarse texture, allowing for a better grip. The Moto Tab G62 tips the scales at 465 grams, and the weight is...
