Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary

This was the most interesting point for me. The Wildlife Sanctuary is spread over 288 sq Km and houses around 250+ birds along with leopard, wild boar, Sambar, Langu, Chinkara and Sloth bear. But we couldn’t see all of them and the excitement was limited to bird watching. Still, the entire feel was awesome. This place is full of floral beauty and is for people who are more of a nature hound and explorers. We had visited Mount Abu during our vacation in October 2018 and this wild life sanctuary is spread over a large area along the Aravalli hills. During our road trip from the foothills to the top we came across this lush green forests with different varieties of flora and fauna. We saw families of langurs and birds but did not come across any bears, deer, leopards etc which also are present in this forest. The breathtaking Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary boasts of rich biodiversity which adds it to the list of must-visit places in the tiny hamlet. The sanctuary is one of the oldest parts of the Mount Abu mountain ranges and is the origin of numerous sightseeing points with exquisite views. It was given the status of a wildlife sanctuary in 1960 to preserve flora and fauna of the entire region and is, therefore, an important eco-tourism spot. The sanctuary is a floral beauty with a vibrant vegetative cover of evergreen forests. It is the perfect place if you wish to witness the best of wildlife in Rajasthan in their natural habitat combined with a thrilling experience. Spread ...
