Urja Saksharta Abhiyan to be launched in MP November 23 In a meeting of the Cabinet held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, it was decided that ‘Urja Saksharta Abhiyan’ would be launched in the state to make all the citizens energy literate. Through the campaign, the citizens of the state will be given information about energy saving. Efforts will be made to make all the citizens of the state energy literate according to a time bound action plan under the Urja Saksharta Abhiyan. The activities to be included in this campaign are to develop an understanding of the expenditure and dissipation of energy in the general public, to give information about traditional and alternative sources of energy and to create an understanding of their impact on the environment, meaningful dialogue about the use of energy, energy conservation and management, to create the ability to make decisions for efficient use of energy based on its awareness, understanding of the effects, consequences of energy consumption, mitigating the environmental risks and negative impact of climate change and enabling the selection of different energy technologies. MP to get cyber tehsil, first in the country: Narottam Mishra

Madhya Pradesh Cabinet on Tuesday approved the proposal to create cyber tehsils, informed Home Minister Narottam Mishra, adding that the state will be the first across the country to do so. Today this proposal has been passed by the cabinet," Mishra said while addressing media persons here on Tuesday. He also said that Cyber Tehsil will make the mutation process easy and people from anywhere in the state can avail of its benefit. "With the introduction of this system, the process of conversion will become convenient in the cases of undisputed land," Mishra said. The Home Minister further informed that the Cabinet has decided to launch 'Urja Saksharta Abhiyan' from November 25 to make citizens energy literate. "Urja Saksharta Abhiyan will be run in Madhya Pradesh from November 25. Schools, colleges and the general public will be connected with this campaign. Madhya Pradesh will become the first state to run India's energy literacy campaign on a big scale," the minister said. Madhya Pradesh general administration department asks all departments to cut power consumption

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh The general administration department stated the power switches should be kept off if not required. On leaving government offices, the electric goods or appliances should be switched off. In place of normal bulbs, the LED bulbs that consume less power must be used. Computer screensavers should not be used and the setting should be changed to blank to save power. Air conditioners should be set at ideal temperature and must be used only when required. Computer printers, monitors, and copiers should be kept in sleep mode to save electricity. The general administration department also advised the government officials to try to save power not only in offices, but also in homes and stated efforts should be made to cut down power consumption more than ten per cent. Government is making all efforts to reduce power consumption. On November 23 in a cabinet meeting the government decided that 'Urja Saksharta Abhiyan' would be launched in the state to make all the citizens energy literate.
