A must visit place in munnar. Nature lovers will definitely love this place. The park's bus would take us from the base to the top. Private vehicles are not allowed as the roads are narrow. It is definitely a wonderful experience traveling through the mist. The entry ticket is ₹200. It is better to book it online to avoid long long queues. In online we have time slots so we can book tickets as per our convenience. Cafeteria and restroom are available at the top I visited this place recently and will try to explain various aspects of this place. Once we reach the entry point, we have to park the vehicle in the parking spot and private vehicles will not be allowed any further. They have a huge parking space. We have to purchase tickets for the bus facility which are priced at 200/- per adult and 150/- for kids. We have to wait for the bus in designated boarding lines. The buses are very frequent and we can get it soon. The uphill travel is 4kms through bus and last 1km through walk. The ride and walk are so unique and different as it's completely filled with fog and so chill. The last part which is through walk is so fun and there are a lot of view points and photo points on the way. If we are lucky we can spot few Niligiri thars which are native to Munnar. We visited the top station after reading many reviews on the net. Munnar to Top station view is very good and many spots come on the way like Dams, boating Rose garden, echo point etc. When We reached at the point lots of cloud were there so We don't have a lot to see. It was a nice journey and if you got clear weather then you will have a stunning view. Situated about 20 km from Munnar on the "Munnar-Topstation" mountain highway route., Kundala Dam is a picturesque tourist spot with the dam is built on River Periyar, and is surrounded by the green Western Ghats mountain range.Kundala Lake offers an unforgettable experience to tourists and you can get on a pedal boat or a rowboat to explore the lake and enjoy the views. Kashmiri shikara boats, too, are available for rent at Kundala Dam Lake Munnar. About 4 days spend trekking through the jungle, forest, tea fields and grasslands, full of land leeches, the journey as well as the views were much worth it. It was gorgeous the whole way with the views of the environment constantly changing until we made it to the summit of the hike. Would for sure hire a local guide as they know how to get to and from the campsites that ate gated because of the tigers, elephants, and other creatures that may be destructive to us humans.
