Nicco Park, one of the most popular and largest amusement parks in the east, covers an area of around 40 acres. The park holds the rare honor of being the first amusement park in the world to be certified with SA 8000 (Social Accountability) certification, the first in Asia to be certified with ISO 14001 (Environment Management System) and the first amusement park in India to be certified with ISO 9001 (Quality Management System). Nicco Park opened to the general public in the year 1991. Nicco Park boasts of as many as 33 rides. The rides at the park include Water Chute, Twist and Turn, Family Carousel, Cyclone- the Roller Coaster, Flying Saucer, Paddle Boat, Magic Carpet, Food Park, Giant Waterfall and beach Café among several others. Nicco Park offers two kinds of packages to the visitors: The Dry Park Package (250 Indian Rupees) and the Composite Park Package (350 Indian Rupees). I visited the place today, 19-Dec, 2021, along with my nieces and son. They were all super excited before embarking the journey. After reaching all their excitement faded away as most of the rides are closed. They have not even maintained the place well. It's a waste of money. Please don't go to this place now at least until the period rides become operational. There is no maintenance as well. I went last month with my husband & found the park quite amazing with 4-5 types of rides, games, boating facilities, small park for children (sea-saw, swings & all). The ticket costs approx 150rs which includes 1 round of all rides. Though One can try rides multiple times by paying extra. The the rides seemed to be bit old & rusty, but still it was fun. Also, the park is not very clean & maintained. Hope BDA will improve the quality of the park!! Went there with lot of hope... But was completely disappointed.. Total waste of money.. Entry fee was Rs 150/- per head with the promise of some free rides. But the concerned person refused to run the rides due to lack of persons... It seems more like a deserted place now.
