By Prachi Arya: Bengali actress Aindrila Sharma's condition is currently fragile after she suffered from multiple heart attacks on November 15. The actress who was rushed to a hospital in Kolkata was given Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as per the authority. Sharma is currently on ventilator support and her condition is quite delicate. ACTRESS AINDRILA SHARMA SUFFERS MULTIPLE HEART STROKES The heart attack was followed by a brain stroke which Aindrila suffered on November 1. She suffered from an intracranial hemorrhage and underwent left frontotemporoparietal de-compressive craniotomy surgery. According to Anandabazar.com, the actor’s new CT scan reports showed blood clots in her brain, which is on the opposite side of her head, where she was operated on. As per the latest reports by Anandabazar.com, the doctors who are catering to the health of the actress, have informed it isn’t possible to operate on the new blood clot. However, new medicines have been introduced to reduce them and they are waiting to see how the star responds to the medical treatment. She survived cancer twice, and returned to the screen in 2015. Sharma suffered from Ewing's sarcoma, a rare type of cancer that occurs in bones or in the soft tissue around the bones. She was treated with surgery and chemoradiation. She was admitted to a private hospital in Howrah on November 1 after a brain stroke, and the CT scan of her brain showed a massive haemorrhage on the left side. "She underwent critical surgery, and a biopsy showed that she was having brain metastases. She was treated by a team of neurosurgeon, neurologist, critical care specialist, infectious disease specialist, medical oncologist, and radiation oncologist," the hospital said. "But, unfortunately despite our best efforts she suffered cardiac arrest today and she succumbed to the dreaded disease," it said in a statement. Sharma breathed her last at 12.59 pm, it added. She recently appeared in a web series, 'Bhagar', in which she was seen opposite her real-life partner Sabyasachi Chowdhury. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said Sharma would be remembered forever for the portrayals of different characters in films and serials. Express News Service KOLKATA: Bengali actress, Aindrila Shama (24) died on Sunday following multiple cardiac arrests. Aindrila had suffered a massive brain stroke on November 1 and was in a coma. On Saturday night, she suffered multiple cardiac arrests and was given CPR. Though the critical condition was managed, the actress breathed her last at 12.59 pm on Sunday following another cardiac arrest. She was a two-time cancer survivor and was diagnosed with primitive neuro-ectodermal (PNET) in the spine in 2015. She had a relapse in 2021 and after several chemotherapy sessions and a gritty fight; doctors had declared her cancer-free recently. On November 1, Aindrila suffered a massive brain-stroke and slipped into coma. Prayers for the actor started pouring in on social media platforms from across the state since past few days as soon as the news of Aindrila’s critical condition spread.
