Raza came to the party as he always does and picked a few wickets. I think he has taken 3 man of the matches; I am going to be broke by the time I get home (laughs). I would like to thank the Zim supporters." "Very disappointing batting my team. We were not up to the mark with batting. Unfortunately, we got out in first six overs, and then unfortunately Shadab got out and then the back-to-back wickets and pressure built up. The first six overs we didn’t use the new ball well but later on we made up. 10 runs more to Zimbabwe. We will sit together, discuss mistakes, train hard and come back in the next game. " "I am l...

Earlier in the day, after being asked to field, courtesy Wasim, Rauf and Shadab, Pakistan kept Zimbabwe to a very low score. However, what we thought was an under par score proved to be enough as Zimbabwe fought till the very last ball and won the game by the slightest of margins. What can be said about Pakistan batting! When you have names like Babar, Rizwan and Masood you have to chase 131 down but yet again they just invited pressure on themselves. They took a cautious approach and went about things slowly. They lost wickets in the process and that always kept Zimbabw...

Also Read: • • • This was Pakistan’s second defeat in two games and their road to the semifinal has become difficult now. Mohammad Wasim Jr (4/24) and Shadab Khan’s (3/23) clinical bowling performance helped Pakistan restrict Zimbabwe to 130/8 in 20 overs. The likes of Wasim and Shadab combined to bag seven wickets to trigger a drastic collapse, and were well aided by Haris Rauf (1/12) who proved hard to score off. Chasing a below-par total, Pakistan lost the wickets of Mohammad Rizwan (14) and Babar Azam (4) in the powerplay and were in trouble. However, once he got out, the game was slipping from the hands of Pakistan as Zimbabwe bowlers were not giving any freebies. But, the likes of Mohammad Nawaz (22) along with Mohammad Wasim Jr (12 not out) were not ready to give up. However, Pakistan’s hopes got shattered when Nawaz got out in the second last ball of the last over of the innings. They were eventually restricted to 129-8 in 20 overs, losing by 1 run. Sikandar Raza was the most successful bowler for Zimbabwe with his brilliant figures of 3/25. Brad Evans (2/25) was superb as well.
