By India Today News Desk: By all accounts, the United States is preparing to roll out the red carpet for A New Jersey-based restaurant has rustled up the ‘Modi Ji Thali’ ahead of his arrival in the US, news agency ANI reported. The thali, prepared by chef Shripad Kulkarni, consists of an array of traditional Indian dishes like khichdi, rasgulla, sarson ka saag, Kashmiri dum aloo, idli, dhokla, chaanch and papad. According to chef Kulkarni, the thali has been curated as per the demands of the Indian diaspora living there. The thali also pays tribute to 2023 being declared as the International Year of Millets by the UN after a recommendation from the Indian government, by including dishes prepared using millets. The restaurant owner also plans to launch another special thali dedicated to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar soon. "We plan to launch this thali soon. I'm very positive that it's going to gain popularity. Once this does well I also plan to launch a Dr Jaishankar Thali, because he too has that rockstar appeal amongst the Indian American community," the owner said.
