Hi, SEAL is a five year integrated program offered by Pondicherry Central Administration. The course is about Social and Economics Administration and Law. Under this program, candidates will spend their first two year of the course in the university itself while the last year is conducted in Paris. Candidates have the option to quit the MA course after pursuing BA(SEAL). MA(SEAL will be conducted at Pondicherry University itself. It is mandatory to go for an internship between the period of second and third year in the SEAL Course.

Pondicherry University took the 8th spot among the 54 Central universities in India in the National Institutional Ranking Framework 2021 recently released by the Ministry of Education. The university said in a press note that this was an achievement against the backdrop of the pandemic as well as factoring in the increased competition for the ranking compared to the previous years.. Vice-Chancellor Gurmeet Singh advised all the stakeholders to continue their persistent efforts to take Pondicherry University to greater heights in the years to come, the press note said.

Pondicherry Central University has made a significant improvement in performance indicators in a newly released global survey of universities. According to the latest report of the Times Higher Education (THE), publisher of the globally recognised World University Rankings, the university is in the 601-800 bracket. The university, which has been participating in this ranking since its first edition, finished with a significantly improved overall score of 57.3-64 against the previous year’s 47.6-56.5, a press note said. The 2022 edition assessed universities on the progress made towards the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. A record number of 1,524 universities from over 110 countries participated in the rankings this year, including 64 Indian universities. The criteria cover the impact of the university on society through its contributions towards the Sustainable Development Goals.
