‘Poshan Pakhwada 2023’ campaign launched in Tuensang

A 14-day “Poshan Pakhwada 2023” was launched across Tuensang district in a district-level launching programme Thursday at CKS Hall, Tuensang. According to a DIPR report, the “Poshan Pakhwada 2023” was held across the district in collaboration with Sangsangnyu Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) project. In his speech, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tuensang, Nokchasashi said in the past, children were malnourished, however, with the convergent department implementing different schemes such as the mid-day meal by the school education department and social welfare department at Anganwadi Centers, he said nutritional food are provided for the health of the children. He further said that during the “Poshan Pakhwada”, the social welfare department would be conducting different activities at the district, block and village level. He called upon all the convergent departments and the community leaders to extend cooperation for the successful implementation of the programme at the district. The DC also administered the “Poshan Pledge” and officially launched Poshan Pakhwada 2023. The programme was chaired by Hanglenchila; a brief note on Poshan Pakhwada was presented by Natichumdam; welcome address and vote of thanks were delivered by DPO (ICDS), T. Longlang Luckpan and District Coordinator, PMMVY Tuensang L. Tonen Chang respectively.
