Prabhas, Kriti Adipurush Trailer OUT: Director Om Raut's adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana - Adipurush is one of the most-anticipated films of 2023. The trailer of Adipurush has landed, today, May 9, ahead of its release on June 16. For the unversed, Adipurush features Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. The trailer sees Prabhas effortlessly essay Adipurush Lord Rama, while Kriti Sanon can be seen in the avatar of Goddess Sita. In the trailer, Prabhas' Lord Ram can be seen saying that for him 'maryada' is above everything, including Goddess Sita. The trailer also offers a stunning glance of Saif Ali Khan, essaying the role of the epic villain Ravana. The makers have called the movie, 'Celebrating victory of good over evil'. The film has been mired in controversy ever since its inception. inclduing a time when Saif Ali Khan faced severe backlash for saying Adipurush will showcase the humane side of Ravan in the film. Director Om Raut took to social media to share the news of Adipurush' world premiere, writing, "Beyond Excited and Honored! Adipurush, the epic saga of courage and devotion, is set to make its world premiere at the prestigious #TribecaFestival on the 13th of June in New York." In a poster which he shared alongside the news, Prabhas can be seen as Raghava, looking up at the sky with his bow and arrow drawn taut for release. As per the poster, the Tribeca Film Festival will take place between June 7 to June 18. According to a report in Zee News, reacting to the premiere, Om Raut said, "Adipurush is not a film, it is an emotion, a sentiment! It is our vision of a story that resonates with the very spirit of India. When I learnt that Adipurush has been selected by the esteemed jury of one of the prestigious film festivals in the world that I always aspired to be at as a student! This very premiere at Tribeca Festival is truly surreal for me as well as the entire team as we get to showcase a story at global stage that has been very ingrained in our culture!
