Praj Industries Limited is an India-based biotechnology company. The Company’s business lines include BioEnergy, Praj HiPurity Systems (PHS), Critical Process Equipment & Skids (CPES), Wastewater Treatment, and Brewery & Beverages. Its BioEnergy portfolio comprises technology solutions for conventional biofuels, such as ethanol produced from sugary and starchy feedstock; advanced biofuels, such as ethanol and compressed biogas; biofuels; and future biofuels, such as bio methanol and biohydrogen. • Praj Industries (Nse) has an operating revenue of Rs. 3,520.40 Cr. on a trailing 12-month basis. An annual revenue growth of 50% is outstanding, Pre-tax margin of 9% is okay, ROE of 22% is exceptional. The company is debt free and has a strong balance sheet enabling it to report stable earnings growth across business cycles. The stock from a technical standpoint is trading close to its 200DMA and around 7% above its 50DMA. It needs to stay above the 200DMA levels to make any further meaningful move. Pune: Pramod Chaudhari, the founder and executive chairman of Praj Industries, has been appointed the chairman of the board of governors of the CoEP Technological University. He will lead the first ever full term on the board after the institute became autonomous and received the status of a technical university. The appointment was made by the Ministry of Higher and Technical Education and will be for five years. Popularly known as the ‘Ethanol Man’, Chaudhari is an alumnus of IIT Bombay and Harvard Business School and has worked as a member of the temporary governing council of CoEP Technological University earlier. He founded Praj Industries in 1983. He has also worked as the chairman of the advisory committee of the Savitribai Phule Pune University. “Together with my colleagues, we will strive hard to further enhance the quality and standard of education at CoEP to create future ready world-class engineers. Priority will be given to preparing a strategic blueprint for the next phase of growth,” Chaudhari said.
