The eighth edition of the Pro Kabaddi League begins on December 22 in Bengaluru and will go on till February, with the final scheduled for February 26. 2. How many teams participate in the league? Twelve franchises are in the mix in the Pro Kabaddi League - Bengaluru Bulls, Bengal Warriors, Dabang Delhi, Gujarat Giants, Haryana Steelers, Jaipur Pink Panthers, Patna Pirates, Puneri Paltan, Tamil Thalaivas, Telugu Titans, U Mumba and UP Yoddha. 3. Will fans be allowed to watch matches this season? No. PKL 8 will be conducted in a bio-secure bubble at the Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel and Convention Centre. All 12 teams will be housed in the hotel, have designated time slots for training and meals, and will be allowed to travel only to the competition venue, which is just a few yards from their rooms. Bonus point If the opposition has six or more players on the mat, then the bonus line (the second black colour line in the opponent’s half) becomes active. In such a case, if the foot of the raider lands over bonus line without cutting it, then the raiding team will receive a bonus (+1) point even if the raider is successfully tackled during the raid. Bonus points will not revive a player. UP Yoddhas defeated U Mumba 38-28 in the first encounter of Pro Kabaddi 2022 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday, 2nd December. The 10-point win over Mumba helped UP jump to 3rd place on the points table. Patna Pirates suffered a 6-point loss against Gujarat Giants in the second clash on the night, which saw Gujarat keeping their playoff hopes alive. Haryana Steelers got the better of Bengal Warriors to register a 32-26 win over Bengal Warriors and jump into the seventh position just behind Dabang Delhi. After today’s results, Jaipur and Puneri became the first two teams to qualify for the playoffs this season. Gujarat Giants, riding on Parteek Dahiya’s stupendous effort to beat U Mumba 38-36 in the first encounter at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on December 4th, Sunday. Gujarat stays in the race of knockouts, having 51 points in 20 games they played in PKL 9 thus far. Mumba wrecked their cause and made it difficult for themselves to qualify for the knockouts as they locked equally with Gujarat on 51 points at the points table. In the second game, Bengaluru Bulls defeated UP Yoddhas 38-35, enabling both teams to advance to the knockout rounds. Bengaluru.
