Yamaha R15 Version 4 Specs and Review

Yamaha R15 Version 4 Review The Yamaha R15 Version 4 is arguably the most sought-after bike available these days. This bike is popular because of its sporty performance, excellent accessibility and much more. The R15 series from Yamaha has been quite well received by the audience, so it’s no surprise that the manufacturer went above and beyond to make numerous upgrades to the 4.0 version. This version of the Yamaha R15 takes most of its design cues from the bigger R series bikes from Yamaha. Some would even say that it looks quite similar to the YZF R7 released in 2021. With an aggressive and sharp-looking front end, along with the LED headlight inside the bikes faux air intake, R15 V 4 really stands out. What’s more, the LED lights flanking the headlamp look like a pair of angry eyes while also giving the bike a contemporary look. The manufacturer claims that this bike is incredibly aerodynamic and can reach a top speed of 150kph with ease. R15’s side fairing looks fantastic and blends well with the racing blue paint job, along with the gloss and matte effect. As far as the fuel tank goes, it is well designed and more spacious than previous R15 variants, allowing riders to place their knees comfortably. While the tank appears to be bigger than V3s tank, the fuel capacity is still eleven liters. Yamaha R15 Top Speed & Acceleration

Yamaha YZF-R15 0-60 mph in 10.00 seconds Yamaha’s YZF-R15 is an entry-level sports motorcycle that caters for new riders or commuters. It competes with many motorcycles including Honda’s CBR150 and Suzuki GSX150R. Yamaha YZF-15 Dyno Curve Yamaha’s R15 is powered by a new variable valve actuated (VVA) engine that displaces 155cc and is a single cylinder, SOHC with four valves. It’s a weird engine size that sits in between the 125 cc and 250 cc segments though is a capacity that has become more popular in recent years. Yamaha claims 18 horsepower at 10,000 rpm and 10.4 ft/lb at 8500 rpm. This equates to 16 horsepower and a little over 9ft/lb that is spread between 6500 rpm and 8000 rpm measured at the rear wheels. The spread in power and torque is pretty good and with a decent amount of torque from as little as 4000 rpm where it does dip fractionally until it picks up again at 6000 rpm. It then revs cleanly to 10000 rpm plus. Yamaha YZF-15 in- gear acceleration This little flat spot that shows on the dyno is not noticed on the road, instead, the power curve from 4000 rpm upward feels very flat and linear. There really is not a powerband as such, though like all small engines you do have to constantly work the gearbox. I think Yamaha’s tricky little VVA system does benefit here as that torque at 4000 rpm is only a couple of percent off peak which is impressive. At speeds below 50 mph/ 80 km/h, you can afford to run in a gear higher but do not expect acceleration to be optimal...
