Rahul Koli, the child actor of Chhello Show or Last Film Show fame, died of cancer at 10. He was one of the six child actors who are part of the film that is India’s official entry for the best international feature film category at the 95th Academy Awards. He said that after they perform Rahul’s last rites, the family will watch Chhello Show together. The film releases on October 14. “On Sunday, October 2, he had his breakfast and then after repeated bouts of fever in the following hours, Rahul vomited blood thrice and just like that my child was no more. Our family is devastated. But we will watch his 'last film show' together on the release day on October 14 after we perform his final purification rituals," his father Ramu Koli told Times of India. Rahul, who hails from Hapa town in Gujarat's Jamnagar district, died of leukemia on October 2, nearly four months after he was hospitalised at the cancer hospital in Ahmedabad, his father Ramu Koli said on Tuesday. Rahul has played the role of the friend of the nine-year-old protagonist Samay (Bhavin Rabari) in the Gujarati coming-of-age drama Chhello Show. The film was nominated as India's official entry for the 95th Academy Awards. "Rahul was looking forward to watching the movie on the big screen. He used to say that the release of the movie would launch his future, little knowing that he would die before October 14," Koli, an autorickshaw driver, told PTI over the phone. His family held a prayer meeting at their native Hapa village near Jamnagar on Monday. “He was so happy and would often tell us that our life would change after October 14 ( the release date of the movie). But he left us before that,” said a teary- eyed Ramu Koli (Rahul’s father) to The Times of India Koli was getting treated at the Gujarat Cancer Research Institute (CGRI) in Ahmedabad after he was diagnosed with blood cancer or leukemia. According to his father, the family came to know about his disease after the shooting was wrapped up. Koli displayed symptoms of what appeared to be a simple fever, but it sustained despite medication. “On Sunday, he had his breakfast.
