चित्तौड़गढ. जौहर का सबूत: खुदाई में राख-चूड़ियां भी मिलीं - 1958-59 में दुर्ग पर बने विजय स्तंभ के पास पुरातत्व विभाग की खुदाई में राख, हडि्डयां और लाख की चूड़ियां मिली थीं। मेवाड़ के इतिहासकार डॉ. श्रीकृष्ण जुगनू के मुताबिक, पुरातत्व विभाग ने वेस्ट जोन सुपरिटेंडेंट एस सुब्बाराव के निर्देशन में विजय स्तंभ के पास खुदाई की थी। - जुगनू बताते हैं- खुदाई में एक कुंड मिला। इसमें से मिटटी, राख और कुछ हडि्डयां मिलीं। तीन लाइन की इस रिपोर्ट में विभाग ने इससे ज्यादा कुछ नहीं लिखा। खुदाई वाली जगह को जौहर स्थल घोषित किया गया - भास्कर ने इसकी पुष्टि के लिए गाइड और फोटोग्राफर केके शर्मा से बातचीत की। उन्होंने बताया कि उस अभियान के गवाह उनके पिता बंशीलाल शर्मा थे। - शर्मा के मुताबिक, उनके पिता भी बताते थे कि विजय स्तंभ के पास खुदाई के दौरान राख, हडि्डयां और चूड़ियां मिलीं। इसकी जांच के बाद ही पुरातत्व विभाग ने इसे जौहर स्थल घोषित किया। बाद में जौहर संस्थान ने यहां हवन कुंड बनवाया। - शर्मा ने कहा कि इसी परिसर में प्राचीन समिद्वेश्वर महादेव मंदिर की पिताजी पूजा करते थे। वे गाइड भी थे। खुदाई के समय यह मंदिर 15 फीट मिट्टी में दबा था। साफ-सफाई के बाद नए सिरे से पूजा-अर्चना शुरू हुई। - खुदाई वाले स्थान पर अब पुरातत्व विभाग का बोर्ड भी लगा है। दुर्ग अब विश्व विरासत है। इसलिए पुरातत्व विभाग ही यहां निर्माण करा सकता है या सूचना, बोर्ड आदि लगा सकता है। महज कल्पना नहीं है पद्मावती - हिस्ट्री रिसर्चर और चित्तौड़ पीजी कॉलेज के पूर्व प्रिंसिपल डाॅ. ए.एल. जैन कहते हैं कि जो लोग पद्मिनी के इतिहास को मात्र मोहम्मद मलिक जायसी का काव्य कहकर खारिज करते हैं, वे सही नहीं हैं। यह महज कल्पना होती तो जायसी के कथा...
